Shortcuts to Apps

Anybody know of a way to make Shortcuts or Duplicate icons for Apps? Now that have Infinidock, I'd like to duplicate some Apps into it but would like to leave the original App icons where they are.

I've searched other sites. I'm guessing there's no direct way to do this (yet). I've managed to find a work-around though...

I normally store my Apps in Categories folders. App Icons inside of folders are hidden from the Springboard. So...I just un-hide the ones I want (with SBSettings or Poof) and drag them into Infinidock. A bit manual, but it works for now.
