Shorter battery life in boot camp?

I just got a new 15inch core 2 duo macbook pro today. I installed windows xp home on it. When I took out the AC adapter, it said a little more than 2 hours left of battery on a full charge.

Anyone else have this issue?

I think Windows is not as efficient and so it makes sense. I get shorter battery life in windows and my MBP also gets much more hot as well.

Outside of efficiency, I don't think Apple is including much if any power management stuff, etc. in Boot Camp just yet. So you probably aren't going to inherently get efficient battery life right now.
