Should Apple be split into two different companies? One for mobile devices and one for the serious Macs?
I agree.Maybe not different companies, but Apple needs to stop making all the OS X team code for iOS.
Yes. They seem to be diverting mac resources more and more.
Yes, but it's a bit of a problem when fixed resources are spread over an increasing project count. That's simply your opinion. Another view is they are allocating resources where they see fit.
No, but I wish this site would. Take your iRumors.com and get out! Seriously, I'm tired of coming to this place and seeing nothing but iPhone this iPhone that on the home page.
lol you're a few years late.
I complained a few years ago about it. At the time they had a separate blog just for the iPhone where they could post inane rumors about possibly being able to change your background (OOOO!!!)... eventually all that crap ended up on the macrumors front page, especially now that actual "MAC RUMORS" are so scarce.
Nowadays I'm sure most of the people here probably aren't mac users at all... or at the very least they come here to talk about the iphone/pod.
FYI: my post complaining about it? most people gave favorable responses, but IIRC Arn trashed it.
^ sorry this happens for the most part every time something new is released. Whether it is the iPhone, iPad or iMac. They will have it displayed with a rather large picture. This isn't just for the iPhone.
And unless I'm very much mistaken, Macs also feature on half of the secondary news stories towards the bottom of the page. So what exactly is your point?Notice, "Mac" gets a little bar button tucked away at the top.

I think Apple's core buisness is getting unclear. First it was computers. Then the iPod came and now all the other mobile stuff.
Do not underestemate the number of people that buy Mac's after they first bought a iPod or iPhone (I am one of them . The more Mac's sold the more Apple will invest in them. So it goes both ways.
But as said before on this post. Apple has to keep the enough attention to there Mac's and not use all company's resorces on the mobile stuff.
I see absolutely nothing Mac Pro (or even iMac related) on the Apple homepage, the focus is solely iPhone and Mac mini.
