Saw this thread on Reddit. Had similar thoughts when I picked up my new iPad Pro and gave Apple my old Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil 2. Of course it was my choice to buy the new iPad and I knew when I bought it that those accessories would no longer work with it. But a small credit if you return to Apple would be a nice gesture. At least on the things they can resell. My keyboard probably couldn’t be resold as the keys and palm rest were full of finger oils but the Pencil 2 was in perfect condition and could easily be resold. Yeah I probably could have sold it on eBay but I didn’t feel like going through the hassle.

Love this idea. They definitely should...and offer a recycling program for some of these items and cases. It's the ethical, "green" thing to do.
