I wanted to discuss Apple, ATT, and the iPhone.

The first thing that comes to mind is that Apple has advertised the iPhone, but ATT has not. And ATT has advertised some of the phones it sells in the past.

What about the store experience? My ATT store is not the most friendly. There's a rather ad-hoc sign next to the iPhones saying you have to be 14 or older to use the demos and that you're responsible for all damages to them. Safari opens to seedy MySpace pages when you first open it. It's a bit of a turn-off.

ATT talks about this wonderful convergence of their technology with Apple's, but I feel like Apple brought at A+ product to a sleepy monopoly, that was kind of like, "Yeah, put it up on the shelf, we'll sell it."

Should ATT do more for the iPhone?

How do you know this? Are you 100% sure that AT&T is not sharing the cost of the current advertising campaign? I bet they are paying for at least 1/2 of it but don't have any say so in production.

I honestly think its apple who want to control the content of the ads. Adn frankly, ATT's ads isn't as good as apple's
