Looks like it’s syncing now. It just took a while after the installation of ios 15. Maybe some database updates etc.?
 
You all do realize that you’re dramatically weakening your security by putting your 2FA codes into your Apple account, right? Doubly so if you’re also using Apple’s password manager. The more separation you have between security layers, the better.

I think what Ethrem is saying is that if you keep both your passwords and 2FA codes in one place - Apple Keychain - then if (and it's a big but real if) Apple gets hacked, the crooks get both. If you separate them completely - Apple Keychain for passwords, and a (different) Authenticator app for 2FA codes, you are much safer.
Yes, it is a big IF Apple gets hacked. But never say never.....

Yep ideally you separate them out across different apps/services to reduce your risks. I believe the risks are extremely low though given what Apple already has in place in terms of mandated security. I'd be comfortable with my family using passwords and two factor in keychain. It's still FAR BETTER than no 2FA.
