i ordered my Verizon iPad on Saturday and it said it was in stock and everything so I’m like cool with two day shipping I should get it on Tuesday. Double cool. So I order and wait. I get a confirmation email that I ordered but I never get one that it’s shipped. Never get one allll weekend. Here it is Monday evening and I still haven’t gotten one. I call up Verizon wondering where the hell my iPad is and they say “well the order went through just fine we’re just in the process of shipping it out”. So I guess I’m still waiting? When I ordered my iPhone and Apple Watch my stuff was shipped within hours. Now it’s going on a few days and still no iPad shipped.

Am I crazy here or is this taking little too long?

I'm worried about mine. Ordered the 1tb model from them the day after initial preorder, with expected shipment on the 14th. With no word or status update two days later, i contacted them. They said the carrier had recieved it, but hadn't updated until sometime today. Seeing an update that says it won't ship until 12/05. Highly frustrating!!

I’m in a similar situation. I ordered a 1TB LTE model from Verizon on 01 Nov and I was told 14 Nov ship date, by the end of my order it changed to 21 Nov. Well tomorrow is 21 Nov and I haven’t seen any change in order status. I’ll check back in if I see any movement.

Yea, my order was set to ship by the 14th, until the 16th, when it changed to the 16th, and today it changed to 12/5. So i'm wondering if they are completely out of stock, or if it's a carrier shipping issue. Also, I'm wondering if I could see if a local corporate store has one, and i can just pick it up. The local apple stores have plenty of stock, so idk why Verizon is having so many issues

Ordered 12.9/512BG /Space Gray on 11/11 and immediately received shipping date of 11/28 and it has not moved up. I called the expedite order number (866-338-7390) given to me by a chat representative today and asked that it be expedited. I was told that the issue is whether Apple gives Verizon earlier availability. She said it could ship earlier but will certainly ship no later than 11/28 as promised. I had her check all configurations and colors except the 64GB and she said all shipping dates are in December if you ordered today.

With Amazon shipping same day as ordered I'm starting to believe Apple is giving preference to Amazon over Verizon.

I’ve given up on trying to get the order out pushes up, I’ve contacted Verizon 5 times, and the ship date just keeps getting pushed back. I was thinking of cancelling and going to Apple store to pick up. But, I’m wondering if they have the stock

So I finally received my 12.9” 1TB SG cellular from Verizon that I pre-ordered on 01 Nov. I had called multiple times and was told it would ship on the 21st per the order status. I called on the 21st and spoke with their customer service about not recieving shipping information. They figured out that it had not been ordered and to fix the situation they sent it overnight, but the 22nd was Thanksgiving so it was delayed until 23 Nov. Then FedEx misplaced the shipment enroute and told me wouldn’t be delivered until Monday the 26th. Yikes! I usually don’t complain, but I explained the inconvienience to both Verizon and FedEx. Verizon took off my activation fee and credited my account $45. FedEx ended up delivering the iPad on the 24th without notification. FedEx sent me a text message this morning to let me know it was out for delivery.

IMO this iPad is completely worth the money. Watching video reviews of the iPad Pro doesn’t do this thing justice. The screen is crisp. The form factor is comfortable on the couch, bed, and table. I’m typing this on the Smart Keyboard folio and its a pleasant experience. For me the pencil was a must, as I like to keep smudges off the screen and it’s precision is my replacement for years of using a mouse. This whole thing just works so flawlessly together for my use.

I thought I'd also update this. I spoke with Verizon rep on 11/24, nothing changed. There stock of 1TB must be severely low, and now i'm trying to wait patiently for my order to ship on 12/5

Or just go to an Apple store where they are stacked to the ceiling

I called Verizon when my order had not shipped on the 21st and they notified me that they did. Or have any 1tb models in stock and that as soon as they did they would ship it and i would get a confirmation. They could not provide a date as to when they would have them in stock. It would seem that as soon as the pre orders started to come in some one with half a brain would have thought “hey maybe we should calculate how may we are actually going to need and get Apple to them to us.”. But I’m sure some one else just said “no that’s too much work, just make them wait.” So here we sit.....and sit..... waiting.

When did you place your order? I placed mine on the 1st. I’m curious where they are in the process of getting orders out.

Sorry to hear that you are waiting so long.

they don’t even have any product in stock let alone are they in the process of shipping it. They said they won’t even have an product to ship till the 5th at the earliest. I ordered mine on the 2nd around 1 am.

I ordered one from Verizon weeks ago and could not get any with an estimated ship date before 11/28

I was given 12/14 then

told it could be earlier around 12/5 and then their web site now says 12/28 so who knows what’s going on. It’s rather sad that these enormous companies take for granted their customers willingness to wait for a product. Not to mention their customers in general. If you or I had told our bosses, at our jobs, we would get around to it by 12/14 but it could be closer to like 12/5,we would be fired. I guess however it’s ok to lead your customers on about when they can expect a product at their doorstep.

I was just thinking, these late order dates could be a blessing in disguise people. What if the next batch of shipments are a little less prone to bending? Nothing dramatic, but just slightly sturdier at least. Or am i just trying to reason why i don't have it in my hands yet?

That’s why I told them I might just cancel my 4 lines of service (5 lines with the addition of the iPad Pro) if they didn’t ship my iPad Pro on time. I was good waiting from 01 Nov until 21 Nov for it to ship, but I wasn’t interested in being dragged along for another couple of weeks. After they “fixed” something in their system and shipped my iPad on 21 Nov, FedEx misrouted my package and delayed it another day so I took delivery on the 24th. Lol...

I think that changing anything that drastic would require some kind of retooling at their factories along with interrupting the current supply chain with lengthy delays. I saw the popular iPad bend video and I thought it was hilarious how seriously people took it. I’m more concerned with the thin glass, but at the same time I don’t really worry about that much at all. I use the keyboard folio, treat the iPad like any other $2k+ device, and have AppleCare which should take me out far enough that glass replacement is DIY and reasonable in 2-4 year range before I likely sell/upgrade.

I called them and they told me there was nothing wrong with my order. Maybe I should threaten them too as I have 8 lines on my account. They don’t seem to be very concerned with their customers at this point. I spoke to 4 different agents and none of them could tell me anything

Just got off the phone with Verizon and expected ship date is now 12/21. They would not “fix” my order and there said they are out of iPads to ship. Anyone who wants one had better go straight to Apple or just forget about it till next year.
