i recently was set on buying a white macbook. but with all the buzz about the discoloration, i have been debating myself on what to do. i have read the whole apple discussions thread and others and it seems as though if you were to buy a white macbook you are gambling on whether or not you'll get a bad case. should i upgrade to black, wait for announcements, or take my chances with white.

thanks

Currently the casing is being fixed...

Not to say if you get one, APPLE will fix it for you. No worries. One of the cons of being an early adopter. But, like I said, APPLE will fix it.

if you order a new Macbook from Apple it will have the new plastic and you will be fine. I have had my white 2.0ghz MB for 4 weeks and no discoloration.

I think the discoloration has happened to a minimum of the macbook users. If it was happening to even 20 percent of the users there would be no end to all the remarks on this thread. For now I'd be more worried about mooing than anything else. My girlfriend right now has had one for about a month and a half and her only problem with it is how hot it gets
