I'm in OZ not UK but my preorder states "Delivers by 28th May" whereas the dock says "Ships by 28th May".

I doubt it would be any different in the UK.

If you take the day off then you can sleep until it gets there, then stay up all night playing with it. Not that I would do anything like that.

Day Off!!

I'm 100% taking the day off and that's for certain!

If it arrives early - I might head in to the office just to show it off :)

HI!

I'm from Germany and I have also ordered the iPad directly on May 10th. Today I got my confirmation - Delivers by May 28th. Does it means that I will get it on this day?!

Thank's!

yep i got mine shipping to work ! so waiting the 09.30 reception call saying your Apple gizmo is here! come and get it

then i got the crowd of I.T nerd's in my dept crowding over me as i unbox the beast

then the ongoing talk about why i did not get the 64GB version ?

Got mine pre-ordered real early - order placed 12:03 AM GMT. Just got the day off work approved...

Not really worried about being home to receive the iPad - I just want to be able to spend time through the day actually using the thing. If I'd had it delivered to work, it would have to sit on my desk all day untouched - No way I could do that!!!

Of course you should take the day off. It's a special day that only happens one or twice per year. There're plenty of regular work days in a year. probably 300+. ;)
