My current 2021 MBP has a scratch on the screen even though I've been extremely careful with it. If I replace it with a brand new 2022 MBP, what are the chances of ever getting a scratch on it? Are the odds in my favor?

I'd reckon that the odds are not good.
Best to carry on with what you have for now.

When I bought the MBP, I was under the impression that a glass screen was pretty my scratch free, except when coming in contact with sharp diamonds. Nobody told about the vulnerable anti-reflective coating.

The sensitivity of the new screens is scary. My 2009 MBP, on it's second screen (cable/ hinge short), I could and do use much elbow grease to clean. I recall paying AUD$ 50 to have the matt display 13 odd years ago.
