The buyer's guide says to wait, but does it matter if i'm gonna buy refurb anyway? thanks in advance

I'm interested in knowing the answer for this question too.

The specs on the i7 iMac are jaw-dropping, especially the IPS display. But, I'd hate to pick one up only to see a rev come out a month later that adds Blu-ray and/or HDMI and/or TOSlink out.

and the refurb'd i7 on Apple.com is like 1850!

Yea I want the refurb i7 27" because the price is great, but how long does it take for the new updated iMacs to hit the refurb store after they come out new?

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of an updated iMac but I had to laugh with your wishes: blu-ray, HDMI and the audio out.

Even I know when to have low expectations when it comes down to certain requests from Apple.
;)

I'm curious as well. I badly need a new computer. Have a old hp from 2006 that's on it's last legs. My iPad is faster than this computer. I badly want a iMac and might wait till the back to school promotion to get a free iPod, but I don't want to buy a iMac and they refresh it 2 months later. That would really annoy me.

Well I guess since I'm buying a refurb anyway, even if they update them in 2 months, it'll be another 2 months for the updated ones to hit the refurb store. I'm just gonna order now. Thanks guys
