should i buy an imac now or wait

ive been reading the forums for a long time but ive only just bothered to register. well my question is should i buy an imac now or wait for the new intel chips to be used or another upgrade.

If you can wait, I would wait, the iMacs were the first intel desktops to be annouced, in fact in th buyers section of this website it states that you shouldn't buy now, wait for an update!

we saw the benches, the new cre 2 duo chips aren't a heap of a lot faster then the core duo chips. so if you think you're going to gain a massive speed boost then forget about it.

honestly i wouldn't buy an imac for 2 reasons tho:

1. i don't like the look too much

it looks OK, but not like HOLY OMFG CHECK THIS THING OUT. the day apple sells imacs in brushed alu enclosures then i'm selling a kidney to get one.

2. WWDC is in 8 days, see what comes out then, and then MacWorld Paris is in September.

for the record i had an intel imac, i got rid of it for financial reasons, it was a great machine but it didn't really go with my style. i wear lots of dark clothes, i drive a black car, i have an IBM ThinkPad. I'm not depressed or anything, or goth, i just think that everything looks sexy in black.
