Should I download my apps again or can I restore them from TM?

Hi Folks,

Just ordered the Mini Server 2011 and am selling my 2009 iMac. I'll be upgrading to an OWC SSD (Electra, 120GB) and 8GB RAM.

Is it better to download my applications again? It would be very convenient to just simply restore them from Time Machine but I'm not sure that this is the best course of action. A fresh install might be better. I use iWork, Mellel, FilemakerPro, Forklift, Leap, DevonPro, Pixelmator 2 etc, etc.

Do applications restored from TM work as well as freshly installed ones?

Will I have to decommission my iTunes account separately?

Is there anything that I should beware of…apart from using Migration Assistant. That's a definite no. I have a SuperDuper backup as well.

No need, as you do a clean install of Mac OS X and wipe all your data.

I take it that restoring my applications from TM backup will not diminish their efficiency in any way?
