Well people, I have a Nano 5th generation. Just got an iPhone 3Gs

Should I sell my Nano away and just keep the iPhone or should I keep both?

I am lost, please help

Should be dump btw.

Unless you use your nano specifically for something that the iphone might be too bulky for like working out, then yeah sell it off.

You can't even decide this for yourself?

Like others have said, sell it if you see no specific use for it.

Why make a thread to ask a question only you can answer. It's not rocket science. Either you want it or you don't.

apparently it is rocket science to this OP :p ... sell the iphone, keep the nano

While we're on the topic, I just got myself new socks... should I get rid of my old socks now or should I still wear them as well?

I'm lost too

Nope, you should keep it. I still use my 16GB 4gen nano mostly cause I rewind and play back songs a lot. I also hold it in my hand most of the time when I'm walking or taking the subway, and that means a lot of drops. The nano is pretty tough, but the iPhone not so. I jog every morning too, and jogging with an iPhone is out of the question.

I do keep my music on the iPhone too for the rare times I do use it for music.

Meh, a more fitting analogy would be this:

I just bought new shoes, and I don't know what to do with the current socks I have now. Should I sell the socks?

Please explain how that is a "more fitting analogy", because it's not.

Well, I felt it was more fitting. The first analogy, about asking if one should sell old socks after getting new ones, didn't really fit what the OP asked. While an iPod Nano and an iPhone certainly have some similarities, they have many more differences. The same goes for socks and shoes. While they have a few similarities, they also have many more differences between them.

I have iPhone and Nano but I primarily keep the Nano for use during exercise. Basically only keep the Nano if you want to listen to music during a time you might be worried of damage during certain activities. Damaging a iPhone is a pain when your still under contract. If your not worried then sell it.

Well I brought my Nano(5th gen) after getting my iphone.

I like listening to music on my Nano better since it's smaller plus having the option to listen to the radio if I choose to.

Well, the obvious answer is just give it to me. I'll PM you home address. Thanks! :)

Keep Both

I have a 16GB Blue Nano and the 32GB 3Gs. I use the Nano for listening to music while trying to fall asleep and anytime I am in the bathroom. I would keep the nano because when you don't want to ruin or destroy the iPhone the nano is a great alternate.

Brilliant thread! Love the random-ness of some of the responses.

Give it to charity mate, you know it's for the best! You obviously have far too much money if you have both. :D

I know I've said this before in other threads, but if you use your Nano/iPhone for something where you're constantly using the pause, or rewinding for a few seconds, like listening to language lessons, the Nano is much easier to use. You can do that on the Nano without even looking at it. I have an iPhone but also kept my Nano just for this, even buying a new one when the old one gave up the ghost.

If you don't do that, don't want to keep it for the car or have it as a back up you might as well sell it or give it away.
