Greetings,

I am trying to decide whether I should wait for the Ipad 3g or settle down with a Ipad Wi-fi.

The main reason I don't want to buy the ipad 3g version is that Verizon/Novatel USB 760 card(provided by the company) speeds are typically 2-4 times faster than ATT 3g in New York City.

I am thinking of using the ipad with the Novatel 760 on a Cradlepoint PHS300 that's on sale for $100.

I have a Wi-fi router at home and I have a jailbroken iphone 3g with MyWi(creates a wi-fi hotspot for the ipad to connect to). I used the ipad tethered wirelessly to the iphone 3g and performance was ok but battery drain on the iphone was pretty significant.

The only reason I am hesitant about getting the ipad wi-fi is that the ipad 3g has A-GPS. I use location services a lot on my iphone 3g.

Please help.

Thanks.

If you can afford the 3g version and the contract on it then get it. If you cant then get a wi-fi one...Simples.
