I kinda wish Nokia would also come up with a kind of deluxe version of the 3310.
Imagine the same design but featuring a 4K screen so whatever you watch on that little screen, it'd look excellent and you can at least really make small writing out etc.
And then a totally kick ass speaker system so you can just plant the little bugger on a table and play some party tunes.
Since the screen is so small, perhaps let the hardware keys slide down or open to the side with a hinge, revealing a touchpad for swipe typing and gestures. Or just let the keys fold/slide away to reveal that there's actually an oval screen there that fills the whole front of the device...
This paired with ultra durable and ridiculous battery time... Would be lower given that screen and functionality of course, a whole other ballgame, but given the tiny screen they could still probably achieve a battery time that'd blow bigger phones away.
Come on Nokia, just give me that chief designer job already!!
Sounds like you went to same design school as Homer
Nevermind I got totally mixed up with the Nokia 6 somehow. Duh.Are you talking about getting a phone for a second line or an extra phone to pop in the sim from your iPhone 7 Plus? If you're going to open a second line you should check and see what deals you can get from a carrier on a second phone. Sometimes you can get a phone for free (like my S7Edge was) but you will be restricted to what your carrier is offering.
If you're just going to buy a Nokia out of pocket because you really admire the Nokia brand, well go for it, but know it's probably not the most robust choice available for the money right now.
ps, popping a sim between an Android and an iPhone can be a pain unless you're willing to give up iMessage altogether, all the time. I now keep my main line dedicated to one of my two IPhones and keep my secondary line reserved for whichever of my Android phones I feel like using for awhile.
One month standby battery life would make it an ideal backup phone plus retro is in. It's also only ~US$50 so what do you have to lose?
I'd rather buy another N95 over this POS iteration!!
Why buy a brand new phone as backup? When I need a backup phone, for emergency calls,or as extra phone,I either use an old Ericsson "shark fin" or my old iPhone 3G. For me,a backup phone should only be used as a phone,so basically, any GSM phone, regardless of age works fine.I am thinking about getting a nokia3310 as a backup phone when its released, what do you guys think?
