Heaven or Hell
I just saw that the AT&T stores have refurbished iPhones for $199
for a 4GB & $249 for an 8 GB.

Are there any risks in buying one if these refurbished iPhones ?
Have they been returned because of faulty production ?

they might have been returned because of being faulty, but if that is the case apple has fixed what ever was wrong, and hand inspected it... They come with the same warranty, and i think it's a heck of a deal ... but also, companies have been known to sell new products as refurbished ... if you local att store has them, I'd say go for it

It's not always easy to find those.

Apple says refurbs for $349, so then I usuallly recommend just getting a new one.

However, for $199 and $249, it's hard not to recommend the refurbished. I mean, that is pretty cheap, for an amazing device.

You could always return it, if something was wrong. I mean, even if you got stuck with restocking fee, on the lower amounts 10 percent isn't so bad $20 or $25.

Go for it...like the others have posted, I'm sure they've inspected them, and that's a heck of a deal.

I just had to exchange my iphone, because the bottom half of my screen was losing its touch features, and I am pretty sure they gave me a refurbished phone. It was in perfect conidition, and i think saving some money by getting a referbished iPhone is worth it.

yeah i agree with him go for it. About 75% of refurbished items are returns, just people don't want them, or there's something wrong with it, and apple cannot sell it until they fix the problem and test it to make sure it works 100% correctly

I've heard problems about purchasing things at at&t. Though I don't know what would be different, the items all come from apple. That is a really good deal though.
I'd just get applecare, and see if at&t covers your purchase if anything goes wrong.

I just bought a 4GB refurbished iphone for $200 from an AT&T store and love it. This worked out for me too because it cost me $130 to break my Verizon contract. I wanted to keep my total "iphone expense" to under $400, and this was the best way to keep under budget.

It works GREAT too. No issues, no scratches, nothing. Couldn't recommend it enough, especially because you get the warranty anyway.
