should i get an ipod or wait?

recently my 3g ipod broken and i got the unfriendly folder icon on the screen when i turn it, on and apple will charge around 100 bucks to fix it so, im in the market for a new ipod.

should i wait a while for updates or go ahead and get one??

you tried installing the firmware again on it right ?

i would opt for a 5g iPod with Video as its great

If you need one now, get one now. I recently picked up a 5th gen 30 GB iPod...I love it.

How long are you willing to wait? After all, I don't think Apple's next event is known yet so we don't know when new iPods will be released.
