which one will run better, the mac one, which is 10 dollars more then the windows one but then i wouldn't have to run bootcamp to vista, but then if i did that i would have dx10 in vista. Let me know what you think, also will expansions for this be coming out on mac as well, thanks . Also has anyone played world of conflict and if so how is it.

I have 3 games installed on vista (30GB partition), and I'm already out of space for any other game. I bought the PC version to play on my sister's PC, and am downloading the mac version right now (*edit*because its not for sale in Australia YET!!!*edit*) and hoping that the serial works (its a pain when we both want to use the comp at the same time).

I'll keep you posted on which computer runs it better in 2 days and 2hrs (at this rate) they both have the same specs (aside from her's having 3GB ram, and mine 2GB) though oddly enough my computer has a better games rating than hers (4.8 to 4.5).

Merry Xmas!

Command & Conquer runs great on my 2.2GHz MacBook Pro w/ 4GB of RAM and a 7200rpm HDD. I have not tried it on my iMac yet, but I am sure it would play even better (since it has a 256MB 7600GT video card). :)

Performance aside, I would buy it for Mac OS X as termina3 has said simply to avoid the hassle of having to boot into and use Windoze. :p :)

Didn't Command & Conquer 3 have issues in OSX?

I would get the Windows version because it probably has better performance and better reliability and booting into Windows isn't such a big deal (even my first gen Core Duo MBP boots into Windows in less than 1 minute and into OSX in less than 30 seconds)

I've had the windows version of CNC3 since it was first released on Windows and it works great on my first gen MBP.

None that I have encountered so far ***knock on wood*** But I don't play it all the time so perhaps I just have not run into them yet...

This is no doubt going to be the case, but I do find performance in Mac OS X to be just fine. :)

if you are a hardcore gamer and want the best performance i'd say buy the windows version and play it in vista via boot camp.

for games windows just is the better solution (my honest opinion)

well does the dx10 make it look better then whatever equivalent mac has? and yea i am pretty picky about games and settings, but i do hate booting in windows, i know its only 3 minutes but i dunno.

CNC3 doesn't support DirectX10 and I'm almost certain both games will look the same on both platforms... however, the Windows version of the game will most likely have better performance and reliability.

If there is one thing Microsoft can really brag about is their rock solid DirectX APIs and their ever-going support for gaming.

I have only tried older games on my MB and compared the performance between os x and windows and must admit that the games do look in windows just look better and have more performance.
