I already have a 16 GB iPhone 4, but I have 90 GB of music. I want something else that has ALL my music. I haven't heard alot of good things about the Classic recently. Should I go ahead and ignore that and buy it or spend the money elsewhere?

Absolutely go buy a classic. I have about 70gbs of music and it's all on my classic. I have the 120gb version and i haven't had any problems. I have had it for over two years and i use it everyday. It's great for having all of your music on one device.

Sure -

I have a still operational Gen2 Classic before it was Classic. And recently got a new Classic. Works great and any extra space can be but to good use as a little personal data transport device.

Remember, when you buy the Classic, it is not just about the size primarily. It is about a true iPod with clickwheel. The only iPod that resembles the true function of it, which is listen to music, is only the Classic

So yeah, go for iPod Classic.

I hope the classic will stick around. I'll be in a hurry myself to get one myself if they are to discontinue it. Anyways go for the classic :)

Hands down the Classic is the best. I just wished there was a larger sized classic iPod. I have almost a terabyte of music - almost a 140K of music in my iTunes and my Classic iPod is 160mb so I like have a small fraction of my entire collection with me on the go which is great but having a slightly larger iPod is always preferred.

I may buy an iPod classic when the next iPod media event arrives so I can see whether Apple discontinues the product or upgrades it for the 10th anniversary. It will provide me time to go to a retail store and buy the current iPod classic.

Absolutely! I find the classic is perfect for my 50G+ music collection. I use a nano 8G for the car and a 16G iPhone for music on the go.

Yes, definitely. You won't regret getting a Classic. I have a Nano, Touch, and Shuffle, but the Classic is my primary music player.

If your music library is quite large and you want to be able to listen to anything you've got, the classic is a must-have ! I've got one for the car and i Love it !

I use my classic everyday. I have about 130 gigs of music and video and wouldn't be able to have my collection with me otherwise. You can always try and get a refurb one from the apple store.

My first iPod was a classic I purchased in July. Convert from 30GB Zune. I love the iPod so much more. Easier software, easier use, and easier syncing.

Wait, you have a collection consisting of 140,000 songs?

*calculates* That means, if your average song was 4 minutes, you have ~9350 hours of music. That would take you ~2350 days to get through that, if you listened for 4 hours a day. Crazy!

I'm in the same situation and am waiting to bite the bullet and just buy the classic I really need/want one, so I can have all my music plus that's what I'll use in the car now, so we'll see, maybe around Christmas. But yes I think it's great and if I would spend the money I would do it too.

I think you with such music DB, one should look for classic, and it’s still a good option no doubt. My music needs are limited to 10 GB, but I would prefer to go for the Classic if I needed more music.
