I am asking because I tend to have limited space (less than 1 GB) and iOS 9 introduces app shrinking which I could really benefit from. Also, I always get the new iPhone on launch day and that means I won't get to experience iOS 9 on my 6+ until the new iPhone launches with it, so am I better off just installing it to enjoy a faster experience?
I think, probably it will not. Probably although Apple only claims this fall would be the season iOS 9 goes public.Hmm I see. I think I'm going to hold off on it. Thank you all for the info. Last question - do you think we'll see iOS 9 launch *before* the next iPhone comes out? Like say in early August or so?

Wow. So helpful...not. OP was looking for advice for those who have already installed, not smart alec responses. SMHHmm... if you wanna?
If you are a developer and need to test your app on iOS 9 to get it ready for September - sure go along, install it.
I guess he should've specified 'public beta' so as to avoid this type of response.
Then my answer would be "if you're willing to inform Apple of bugs that you have noticed in iOS 9 itself - not 3rd-party apps - then yes it's a good idea". Because all-in-all iOS 9 is superior to iOS 8 already.
Now, about app thinning features, I'm not completely sure it supports it already and how it works if you already have 3rd-party apps on your device. I think it needs App Store updates and they're coming in September along with iOS 9 final.
He specifically said he wanted to benefit from the new App Thinning features to gain more space. He's not looking for an answer like that. He seems to be looking for a yes or no with regards to performance and bugs.
