Hi folks! Just a quick questions from me.

Currently Im using the MBP 13" 2018 (16/256/i5). The only one thing I'm doing on it is developing (iOS, android, web, backend - basically full stack).

Let me start with a few words first:

- I know I can't get the m1 MacBook because of lack of support for many tools I'm using (it will change someday, but not tomorrow).

- I know I don't want to buy a eGPU because one day (probably next 2-3 years) I will get the apple silicon MacBook anyway. And there is high chance the eGPU will be useless (either it won't work or will be just weaker).

- I know I can't go with MBP 16" because two external 4k displays (or even 1 external + the builded one) will drives me crazy - I really like silence during the work day and I don't want to burn my wooden desk 😂

- I tried to connect 2x 4k display to my MBP 13" but its bad.. the quality, font shape, resolution on one of the monitor was very poor.

So I have two options:

1. Intel Mac mini + 2x 4k 27" external displays
2. MBP 16" + one ultra wide high-resolution display, like let's say 49"

Question:
1. Is the Mac mini able to run 2x 4k display with no issues? (apple says: yes, but apple also says MBP 16" can hold up to 3 4k displays lol)
2. Will the MBP 16" be able to hold one ultra wide monitor with high resolution? I know there are issues with 2x 4k, but what about one ultra wide?

Thanks for your help, cheers!

Long thread about issues with 4k screens on the Mini here.

I say sense your a Developer I would go with the Mini sense you already have a monitor (that you like) and mouse then the Mini might be up your alley! Maybe in a little while Parallels or VMWare Fusion might be another investment to get down onto one system!
