So I got the new 24" iMac and it came with 1 GB of Apple ram. A few days later I got some Crucial ram to make the total ram 2 GB's.

I feel like I would get better speed if I were to buy another Crucial ram so I would have 2 GB's of ram with both ram being made by Crucial.

Matched pairs doesn't mean matched manufacturers it just means matched capacity/specs i.e 2x 1GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM or 2x 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Both sticks don't have to be from the same manufacturer

...and just to add, the RAM doesn't need to be matched anyway. You can throw in any combo you like. The iMac service manual says so :)
