Greetings.
I have a very straightforward question, but let's start with a few product specs.
I have an 8GB iPod touch 2G, running the OS 3.001(did I get that right?) firmware. Warranty's not quite dead yet, 10 months left...(it'd be insane to wait that long in any situation.)
My question, as you can see, is rather generic, but I have three.
1) Let's get this part over with. Should I jailbreak now, or wait til my warranty expires?
2) What are the risks involved?
3) Is it legal(DMCA people are scary[past experience])
4) Which program should I use? I've been thinking about using the Dev team's software, Redsn0w.
5) Will the people at the Genius Bar know I jailbroke, even after I format the memory and revert to factory default?
Dang, more like five questions... Will that be a problem?
And, any added advice would be helpful, so long as the advice is helpful in itself.
EDIT: I forgot some extra info. I can do a small bit of Command Line, and I'm running Vista on a Dell Inspiron 530, if that matters. (Default browser:Chrome)
