Other Should I just to for this weekend to order online and pick up in store?

I didn’t preorder on Friday. If I preorder now the dates are Oct 1 to Oct 8. No phones available at stores near me on Sept 21. Would it make sense for me just to hold off for Friday night and order and pick up in store the next day? Assuming that is what happens. I’ve always preordered at midnight on launch or waited in line in person on launch day to get my phones, so this would be new territory for me and I’m not sure how the whole pick in store thing works

If previous years are any indication, you can check the Apple store app or website at I think 10pm since that's when they get new stock.

You can always try walking in on Friday (before lunch time) and try your luck
