I have a 2009 mini and I upgraded it with 8gb and put an Intel x25-m SSD 80GB. Wondering how well it run Lion etc. I subsequently bought a MBP a few weeks ago (a clearance 2010 MBP for cheap) since I needed to work away from my study room at times.

My needs:
* tinker with xcode for iphone/ipad dev for fun .... thats it! For that I have noticed that 8GB does wonders to the build speed
* I have a powerful Linux server for the rest of the stuff

The 2010 13" MBP is a 2.4Ghz C2D (will upgrade RAM and SSD etc). I wonder if the mini is an extra box sitting there, in which case it will go to CL/Bay.

Thx!

The Mini should run Lion well, I think.

Lion requires a C2D processor and a minimum of 2GB RAM (really should use at least 4GB, 8GB should be plenty). An SSD is good. I don't know how much drive space Lion will require.

If you don't need your 09 Mini anymore you may wish to sell it. It's up to you.
