Hi. I have 2 questions.

1. I have replaced my new SR Macbook Pro 2GB memory with 2 x 2GB sticks from Crucial. Works great. Do you guys think it is really essential to keep the replaced sticks in case I have to send it back to Applecare? 'Cause I really wanted to sell them.

2. I have bought this laptop in the Apple Store in NY and taken it abroad. Now I've realised I've got the dreaded yellowish Samsung screen. Not only that, but my screen is not perfectly centered. Physically centered I mean. Apple's quality control sucks big time... Do you guys think that if I take it to the Apple in 3 months from now and show them these two issues on my screen, they will replace it?

Thanks in advance.

1. i asked the same question after searching the forums and also seeing the consensus was yes - keep your ram, though i didn't get many replies the answer was again yes. The reasoning behind it was that apparently if you send your mbp in for repair, sometimes the process may be more hellish, and, more importantly, sometimes they take out your ram downgrading the thing back to stock 2 gb.

though i would be interested in hearing any contradicting answers of the sort, as it really wouldn't hurt having another 100 bucks or so in my pocket.....

2. I think they should as long as you have applecare or bought in on your credit card (1 year warrantee i think). though i have seen vastly differing repair stories on the board, hopefully you are lucky.
