Dumb question lol, but does anyone think I should keep the plastic wrapping on my new iPad that I got after exchanging my dead pixel iPad? Best buy had no cases, so until I get one, I'm thinking of keeping protective wrapping on but it does hide the gorgeous screen a bit.

I decided to take the wrapping off because the screen is too beautiful to be all covered and because the screen is supposed to be very scratch resistant as someone said before. :) I LOVE my iPad! :D

Welcome to MacRumors

Claire, I know you're new, and probably not used to all the sarcastic arse's on this site, but it's just something you're gonna have to get used too. That's the only thing I miss about appleinsider.

other than that, your question is perfectly reasonable and I don't think it's a bad idea at all to wait until you get a case. It just means that you are more conscious of caring for valuable items.

leaving the loose plastic on will encourage dust particles to get in there and rub between the plastic and metal/glass causing it to buff dull or scratch the aluminum if not careful...just saying
