Hey guys, I have some videos I've made and I'd like to share it with my friends. I don't really have the time to make my own site and host it, however I'd like to do that eventually. My main gripe with using youtube, google video, and other sites to share videos is that when you upload it you give away all the rights to the video. I know that seems kind of paranoid but I feel strongly against that sort of thing. Another thing is some of my videos are presented in a widescreen format and I believe places such as youtube would stretch it and what not.

Do any of you guys know any place where I can upload some videos and/or files and keep all rights to the video? Am I misunderstanding the user agreement? As of now I only have a few things, but when I get more I guess I'll take the time to deisgn my own site.

Thanks!

You can use a .Mac account. You get a free 2 month trial and it will let you have a video blog and it is fairly simple to use and works seamlessly with iWeb.

I agree. .Mac seems perfect for what the OP wants to do. Also you can password lock your site so only your family and friends can enter, which I think is pretty cool.

And just a little note, YouTube doesn't stretch widescreen videos. My videos are all widescreen and they look fine, compressed quality aside.
