Today is my last day of my return window to send back my MBP to Apple. I am running Windows 11 using Parallels for Forex Trading only on the Windows side. On the Mac side I run Safari and Twitter and Telegram and do emails and basic work documents. I do not do photo editing. Here is my Activity Monitor stats with everything open. Sometimes it uses Swap. I have today to decide if I really need 64 GB of Ram.

Cheers

Jeff

Nothing to be afraid of a bit of swap. Sometimes MacOS will deliberately use some swap even when it doesn't have to, to optimize caching.
32GB looks like more than enough.

Yes no slowing down of my MBP but I was worried seeing swap being used or going as high as 26-28 GB before any swap is used. It is a bit of a hassle to send back my computer especially when a 64 GB one wont be delivered until Feb 17-21

with no photo/video editing, even 32gb is a lot. You'll be fine. macOS (and windows) will chew through ram for caching if it's available but when need arises, it will regurgitate it back up
