I ordered an iMac last week, got a DOA. Sent it back, Apple sent me this one. It works, however the screen is faded yellow on the sides, slightly. Lots of apps, even when they're the only one open, seem to crash. Airport disconnects randomly and can't find networks for hours.

It hasn't been 14 days, so I can return it but I know I'd have to wait a few days for the refund, plus my parents will be upset with the fact that I'm not happy with the replacement, therefore even making their opinions on Apple worse. [they don't like Apple, yet we all have iPhones ].

Should I return it, I'll buy a BlackBook. What do you think?

If you are not satisfied, return it and get another iMac if that is what you really need. If you need a Macbook, then get that.

Sorry about the bad luck with your new Macs. Once you get a new one (that's good) it will be worth it.

It's a shame you're having such a bad experience. I think you should try one more time with the imac, but I would understand just getting a macbook.

Thanks for the replies. My parents are fine with me returning it, however if I do, then whatever I buy afterwards will have to be my final choice. I really like the iMac, but there have been times when I was needing it downstairs, on the couch, etc. and with a laptop I'll be able to have that convenience. If I get a new BlackBook I'll be receiving the same specs as the iMac, just with a smaller hard drive [I don't store much anyways].

Do yourself a favor and just get a customized white macbook instead; same internal hardware, for less money.

The color of the MacBook doesn't really concern me, I just want one asap and one that closely matches the specs of my iMac. The black one is more appealing to me and has the same specs, plus it's a stock so I can get it sooner.

As for the Mac Mini, they're not for me.
