should i return my MBP and wait

Why?
Do you need the 100MHz faster CPU? Do your computational needs require the slightly, but almost unnoticeable, faster CPU?
But as you still can return the MBP (or is it the Mac Pro, since this is the Mac Pro subforum), you can do that of course.

I'd keep it until the rumored spring-summer 2012 redesign.
Then you can sell it at a good price since you've put in an ssd, and buy the redesigned ones.
And if the 13" isn't changed much, or dropped in favor of the 13" air, you'll still have ivy bridge as an upgrading factor.

Ah, you mean, you want to wait for the next model, coming in Q2 2012? If so, we don't know, as evident in dozens of threads about this. We only assume (and some hope and expect) for a redesign.
Yeah, I misunderstood. Sorry about that.
But as with any of those "waiting for something faster" games, you lose in the end, as you just wait and don't use the MBP for what it was designed for.
