OK, I bought my 2.2 SR MBP from Dick Smith Powerhouse a few days ago, and noticed the yellow gradient at the bottom of the screen almost immediately. Now, I have a few questions in regards to getting it exchanged for a new one that will hopefully not have a problem. I have the Matte Samsung panel. I live in Australia.
Other than the yellow bottom 1/3, everything else seems great.
So, what would sending it back entail? How difficult would it be to get it replaced, because I didn't buy it directly from Apple?
Now, I would really like my MBP when I start Uni again in a week's time. So, if I did want it replaced, would I have to send them this one, and wait for a replacement, or would they send me the replacement, plus a box to send my old one back? How long would the whole thing take?
And a final question, how do I know what week my machine was manufactured in? And in comparison, what week machines are people receiving their MBPs from Apple now getting?
Thank you for any answers.
