First was the bluetooth keyboard/mouse connection loosing signal now is this pop sound from the internal speakers like every 30 minutes. Should I return my New iMac I bought 3/28/09?

Take it back to the Apple Store. Apple are very good with exchanges.

I had issues before (in some cases I've not even been able to reproduce the problem in store) and they have given me exchanges.

This should not be happening with a 10 day old machine.

1. Referring to ShaunPriest what was the problem with your mac that you had to return it?
2. When I take my mac back to return will they exchange it within the store or will it take couple days?

I went through 3 MacBooks in a row, in the space of 1 week.

MacBook 1: The trackpad was weird, the mouse would jump about and go places I wasn't navigating too. It was intermittent, and hard to show because it was subtle, but something clearly wasn't right. Got a replacement.

MacBook 2: Had the exact same problem. Got a replacement.

MacBook 3: The trackpad was fine on this one, however after a few hours the machine automatically went to sleep (in the middle of using it with no warning) and it had to be rebooted for it to come back on. It then again would randomly go to sleep. Got a replacement.

Demanded to speak to the manager as it is a 60 mile round trip for me to go back and forth from the Apple Store each time, not to mention fuel and parking costs. He offered to give me £100 worth of software for my trouble. I took Microsoft Office Home & Student Edition.

MacBook 4: Worked fine.

This was about 15 months ago.

About 10 months ago I bought a MacBook Pro and there was a loud whine from the machine which strangely went away if you tilted the computer (but when you held the computer horizontally the noise returned). I got a replacement and it worked fine.

All of these replacements were done inside the Apple Store.

I think for a direct replacement the item has to be returned within 10 days (or 14 - I forget) otherwise the product would be sent away to get fixed.

Take it back ASAP and be nice, but insist for an exchange.

Another question: I have alot of things on mac already, should I back them up or will Apple transfer the contents to the new mac when I get to the Apple Store for the exchange?

Just one hour ago my bluetooth keyboard and wireless mighty mouse lost connection. So I had to insert another mouse to reset the bluetooth. I will go to the Apple Store tomorrow after school.
1. Will they exchange the iMac with a new one or will they fix this one Iam typing on?

The longer you delay in trying to get it exchanged the more likely it is that they will insist on repairing it instead.

Meaning, go tomorrow morning, and insist on an exchange. Don't wait any longer putting it off. Try to back all of your files up this evening, and get it exchanged tomorrow.

Will I get charged or a restocking fee when I return my iMac to exchange for a new iMac?
I'm still under the 15 day return policy

Where do you live? If you live in USA you'll have to pay restocking fee (10% or 15%, can't remember). Of course you can talk with Apple and ask do you have to pay that because you have defective product.

I live in the US but why do I have to pay a restocking fee if it has been only 11 days?

I'm in the UK and when i returned my imac about a month ago they didnt even ask the problem or open the box they just gave me a full refund
