Okay, so here's my situation. I recently bought my first Mac, the 13" baseline model, recently but now I'm wondering if I should have got the Air.

This screen is killing me on the Pro right now. The colors are great but the overall resolution is down right miserable for me (my last two laptops both were 1920x1080). I'm used to text being much smaller and having more screen room. I know the Command - will make the text appear smaller, but it also blurs and sometimes completely distorts text. I also do very light gaming and was not impressed one bit with the Intel 3000 graphics.

Other than those few gripes I LOVE this laptop, better than any PC I have owned before.

The question is, should I return my Pro and get a 13" Air "Ultimate"? I'm a business student and I use my laptop for school work, listening to music, watching videos, skype, and some light gaming. I sometimes like to play around with Photoshop as well, but other than that I'm a very "general use" kind of guy.

What do you think?

I think you'll be very pleased with the 13" MBA, it's my favorite notebook.

I do heavier work than the tasks you listed and my MBA handles it fine.

Happy shopping, and let us know how you make out.

I'd stick to the Pro on the sole basis that it was updated like a week ago and MBAs are currently 4+ months old. (Just something to consider. No, I didn't read your post very well...but I DID read it)

Yes, I understand that, but I know I can't handle this screen resolution. It's so foreign to me. The screen size is no issue, I really enjoy the portability of the Pro, I can only imagine the portability of the Air.

Thanks for your input entatlrg! Just wondering, how bad do you think I get burned if I decided to upgrade to the SB Air's whenever they come? Considering I keep it in great condition and it comes out in either June or October.

im coming from a 15" Pro Hi Res....This 13" MBA is very satisfying....I use photoshop, word, excel, powerpoint, etc...this thing runs so fast and without glitches, sorry to say but some things even faster than my i7....now you wont be able to upgrade much on it over time....so your stuck with what you get for the time being. I consider that a good thing though, because I buy a new machine every 1.5-2 years anyway. I am using this as my primary computer for work and for MBA school.

Thanks for the insight christophermdia! At this point, it's very tempting for me to jump the gun and return this Pro for the Air.
