Should i take the plunge?

Just wondering while registering is free as an Apple developer. Should I go ahead and do it ? I am interested in bug fixes, tech specs, and everything else with applications/software

I don't know how to code, and probably never will, but just to try it out, and report bugs etc. and any other stuff that you get as a developer?

As I'm here based in Australia, I think i'll be missing out on WWDC, but what other bag of goodies could i expect ?

You get nothing other than access to any OS builds for a year.

It is the equivalent of US $99, but you will have access to the final version of Lion - which if you were going to buy it could make it worthwhile (obviously we don't know how much its actually going to cost yet!)

If you need Xcode, thats obviously charged for now through the App Store unless you are a developer, so thats also a small saving. Probably not relevant to you as you don't write code.

And you get pre-release updates of Mac OS X as well.

And access to previous versions of Mac OS X.

I think the whole point of the $99 is to put you off from joining... unless you are a developer of course, in which case it doesn't matter.
