My workflow is like 20 tabs in chrome, MS word, powerpoint, excel, acrobat, safari, onenote, preview,, calendar, photos, messenger, facetime all open at once. I do not want to close anything. Occasionally play some Apple TV.
Should? No. If you'd update, its pure luxury. With that workflow, you don't need a Pro at all.
Probably not, but you can tell better than us.My workflow is like 20 tabs in chrome, MS word, powerpoint, excel, acrobat, safari, onenote, preview,, calendar, photos, messenger, facetime all open at once. I do not want to close anything. Occasionally play some Apple TV.

Are you encountering any problems while using the Air with that workflow?
I would like a brighter panel. It's probably only slowed a handful of times when I had tons open.
I did. My new 14" will be here in a few weeks. Love my M1 Air, but the new 14" MB Pro was too tempting to pass up. Great screen, SD card slot, ports, tons of power. I'll take it! Apple gave me $620 for my base Air, so roughly $1300 out of pocket for the new MB Pro. Yeah, that's a lot of greenbacks, but hey, it's only money, right? Gotta spend it on something before I die...
It was on the Apple site. I'm trading my base M1 MBP in as 8GB isn't quite enough when I have everything open, and the 256 SSD likely got thrashed with all the swapping. 16/512 is a better combo combined with a bigger, brighter screen.I wasn't given a trade in option. Where was that?!?
For me the only reason to upgrade is the new display. I don't need the extra power.
Hi, I am in a similar situation. After a few months what is your opinion and suggestion? Was it worth it?Yeah I agree. I ordered a 14". 400 nits to 1000 nits is a massive jump. Plus 120hz. Yes please.
