Are you getting the phone from AT&T for 200? In order for the subsidized price of $200 you have to sign a 2 year contract with att. So there is no point of unlocking. I think the cheapest att plan is 70 a month.

If you currently have a plan with another provider like tmobile, you could buy an iphone off ebay or something, unlock it, and use tmobile.

My bad lol

I'm from Canada, so I will use Rogers, or Fido...

If you need a new contract and think the iPhone contracts are okay then go ahead. If you can find a cheaper contract, it might be worth it to buy an iPhone off ebay, which will cost you upto 2 or 3 times as much, but then save money in the long run with the cheaper contract.

o ok. i am not sure then.

I know that here in the US you must sign a contract to get the phone for $200, and its probably the same there. All unlocking does is allows the phone to be used on other networks. If you use Rogers or Fido you dont need to unlock

So how do i get a cheaper plan when the iphones comes with their own special plans?

What do i say to them and do?

I'm all new to this so i have no idea how this stuff works lol
