I have a 7+ that's still running 11.0, should I finally update to 11.2.6 or just wait?

Why do you want to update? If your phone works well now and has all the features you want, and given Apple's track record with new OS on older hardware, why risk going down a path of no return?

If you wait for the perfect version of iOS, you’re going to be waiting a long time. There’s no such thing. Or for Android. Or Windows. Or any other software.

If you don’t want to jailbreak then yes update. If you want to jailbreak then kee p it on that software and jailbreak now.

I think It's almost always "safe" to update to minor .1/.2/.3 updates. They usually contain tons of bug fixes and performance improvements, they probably never slowed down my phone. The major iOS versions are the ones that can come with some slowdowns. So I think you can update to the latest possible iOS 11 version now and just wait until the next major version (iOS 12) to see if it does slow down older iPhones....

Honestly if your running version one then you should update. Unless you plan on jailbreaking then there is ZERO reason to stay on such buggy software. The newest version is still buggy as hell but it's a significant improvement over what you have now.

OF COURSE you should update. 11.0 is exactly the software version people complain about. With each subsequent update (before the annual major one), the situation is better.

If upgrading to 11 went fine and you haven't encountered trouble, count yourself blessed.

11.3 is 'this close' to dropping and 3's tend to be sweet as honey. Jar full.
