I have a jailbroken iphone, and when I go to sync it in iTunes a pop up appears saying "an update to the carrier settings for your iphone is available. Would you like to download it now?"

If I update, will it affect my iphone and screw it up or something since its jailbroken?? Or is it safe to just update??

I have an unlocked iphone 2G and updated the carrier settings just now... everything seems fine... i dont think it will be a problem for you. i mean being jailbroken should not have any effect on carrier settings...

The carrier settings are new icons for AT&T thats all that they are. If you have a jailbroken phone thats not going to make any difference to you but its not going to hurt your jailbrake at the same.
