Should I update to iOS 5?

I'm on 4.2.6 with VZW iPhone 4.

It is jailbroken with tons of Apps and tweaks. I'm only interested in a untethered jailbreak.

Should I update now or wait until next year?

I heard some guys found a bug of ios can make the untethered jailbreak. maybe it's sonner, but ios 5 waste the battery too much.
