Yes. Having the built-in Flashlight app in Control Center was totally worth it, I don't even care about the other stuff.
 
Will my device run iOS 11 fine or will the software cause it to lag?
Although I didn't want to lose access to my 32-bit apps, I went ahead and updated my 1st gen 12.9 Pro to 11. Unlike every other update I've experienced on iPads, this update made my 12.9 Pro *MORE* responsive. It's very smooth. I like the new dock and method of selecting apps for multitasking. The only downside at this point in time (aside from the loss of 32-bit) is the single column of widgets in landscape mode (instead of the 2 column mode under iOS 10).
