I just got a 15.4" MBP with 2gb of ram and i saw a video of one with 4gigs and it was soooooooo fast, i was just wondering how much faster mine would be be if i upgraded to 4gigs and if I did, what is the best kind of memory to buy, and where should I buy it from!!! Thanks!!!

4 GB is overkill for a lot of users. What do you plan to use the machine for?

If you do elect to upgrade the RAM, OWC and DMS are popular choices for high-quality, reasonably-priced, and vendor-guaranteed RAM in the US.

what do you use your computer for, for most current applications 2GBs is plenty. If you do upgrade, I hace heard good things about OWC.

Increasing you ram should speed things up even more.

I always use Crucial ram, not the cheapest but I've never had any problems. :)

I Im going to be editing photos in photoshop, and definitely recording songs in garageband, thats pretty much it on the heavier use side of it, after that just surfin with safari.

What is a fast HDD, and why would that be better than the ram?

Faster Hard Disk Drive which the entire system depends on. The faster it spins, the faster things launch/laod. HDD is the bottleneck/slowest component of the entire system
