I have a 4 month old MBP 2.4 with 120 and 2Gb.
I hear its best if you upgrade your ram. I run a lot of applications at once, like CS3 sketch up and auto Cad. Would 4GB of ram make it run better? How much would it cost. And what would be the best deal? And from where... what brand...is it hard to install yourself.

please dont tell me how to use this forum.... in the time it took you to write that you could have answered the question. i cannot tell you how many post there are of...."should I wait?" yet they all seem to get answers. Please tell me how I am any different?

if you dont feel like helping then please dont post.

I would go with OWC RAM. It has a lifetime warrenty and has a pretty reasonable price. 4GB of RAM would really help you if you have multiple programs open at a time. I would suggest going for it.
 
2GB is probably good enough. I run a lot of programs at once including CS3 and I always have 1GB-1.5GB of free space. If you want 3GB it would probably be perfect.
 
You can never go wrong with more RAM, 3 should be fine but if you want to bump it up even more it can't hurt. It all comes down to how much can you afford.

i was thinking of just doing 3GB. How hard is it to install? I mean im just nervous I could break something internal. Not possible? Thanks.

You could break something internally but not probably. You do need to use some presure to get the sticks in. Search youtube and you can find some installation videos.

It will just speed it up. Wont effect anything else. Just make sure you get the right RAM.

There are several options to choose. But I am confused. If I have 2 right now.. do i but a 2GB upgrade? or a 4GB upgrade? Will I remove what I have now and just replace it with new sticks all together?.. sorry for all the questions.

You will have to take out the 2 1GB sticks and replace them both with 2GB sticks. Make sure you get the right RAM. OWC is what I recommend, and their site is real easy to navigate. Good luck!
 
There are videos on youtube of people upgrading ram in mbp if you need any more help.
