I was recently told that it's better not to let your computer sleep under "energy saver." To just shut it down once a week before bed.

What say you?

I don't know where you heard what you heard, but it's wrong. You can sleep your display or computer whenever you want or need to. There is no right or wrong way to do it.

This is what I was told...

Let the display sleep, but click "never" for the computer sleep option. I wasn't sure, so that's why I posted this thread.

Why would you have other options besides "never" if they weren't viable options? There's nothing harmful or problematic with letting your computer sleep when you're not using it.
