I had my iPad Pro set up like this earlier but reset the home screen layout as I’ve yet to figure out what works best for me. Hope we see some other inventive uses of the new dock and layouts from other users here.

I had it set up like the OP initially but it drove me crazy so i had to reset it to the normal layout. Habits i guess
