i went to access my iPhone 6s and this keeps showing up on home screen each time i push home button. what is it and how do i get rid of it? never has happened before.

You can close all the apps and see if that helps. If not, you can try opening the Music app (even if you don't use it) and then closing it. If none of that helps, you can try restarting your device.
Seems like you are streaming something, most probably in a browser or 3rd party app. Close all apps and close all tabs in browsers that might stream music. Happened this week to me with streaming a video in a browser window within Instagram and later with a video in the AppleInsider app.
