Hi, I was just wondering what program Apple uses to show the iPhone screen in real time at their keynotes. Is there a Windows alternative? thanks!

I've also been looking for this. It was used by the Dev Team to demo the 3.0 unlock, and I'd love to have the same functionality!

Yeah. It would make it easier to do app reviews and things like that. It would also just be cool!

The Dev Team used VNC to do the unlock demo. You can install it on a jailbroken iPhone.

When I watched the keynote, I saw that the iPhone Apple used had a really thick cable coming out of the end of it. It's possible that they're using a hardware modified phone that can send the video out over FireWire, DVI, or VGA. They're definitely not using VNC because there's absolutely no lag.

What's the app name, and was it from Cydia, Icy, or iTunes?

EDIT: Thanks, benflick.

thanks guys! I just Jailbroke my 3.0, so I'm back into Cydia and Icy. Downloading Veency now!

Wow, this is ridiculously buggy. Keeps throwing my iphone into "safe mode" (didn't even know there was one), and won't respond to any taps. Uninstalling...
