MacPro 1,1 running ElCap 32/64 bit EFI hack.
Boot camp start options (alt key on start) shows Windows 7 32-bit on internall 500gb SSD as boot device and I can boot to it properly. This disk also shows in ElCap Disk Utility but DU does not identify it as a Windows disk but does show color bar categories for its file types. This disk does not show as a startup system in System Preferences/Startup Disk. When booting to ElCap the Win7 disk is not recognized and I respond to the “disk is not readable — iniitialize-ignore-delete” prompt with “ignore”. It does not appear as a device in Finder.
I am considering installing an Nvidia GT730 graphics adapter (tired of replacing and baking my 3 ATI HD5770s) which will not show Boot Camp multi-boot screen (do not have a way to flash the ROM on it) and if the Win7 disk does not show as a startup system under System Preferences/Startup Disk I will have no way to select it.
Is there as way to make the Win7 disk recognized by ElCap System Preferences/Starup Disk and Finder other than reinstalling it entirely, which I am reluctant to do?
Thanks.
