iPod Shuffle 4th Generation - Stuck in DFU Mode and won't Restore

Hello everyone! I am not able to get out of recovery / DFU mode or successfully restore the device in iTunes. I've tried different USB ports, different computers running OS X and Windows, and even wiping in disk utility and nothing has worked. Whenever I try to restore a message pops up with an unknown error 1430. It leads me to this support page which does not help.

Anyone have any suggestions? Should I just buy my sister a new iPod shuffle?
